FUE Hair Transplants - Star Hair Transplant

FUE Hair Transplants

FUT is known to be the older school, however, a doctor in Japan had used a method similar to that of FUE today in the 1940s. Both methods have their advantages and small disadvantages.

FUE is a newer method and has been improved over the years. It involves what its name suggests – the extraction of follicular units.

It is also widely known as the “better” method thanks to its many advantages. When one observes the human scalp hair closely, one sees that the hair is found in follicular units of 1-4. The back of one’s head is not prone to hair loss.

The doctors extract the follicular grafts (these hair units) individually in FUE procedures, using tiny needles, robotic devices, micro instruments, and transplant them into the incisions they have made on the balding parts of the scalp. This is a less invasive method, is very delicate, and leads to perfect results.

Scarring is minimal – there are scars in the donor area but these are very tiny, and hidden behind the rest of the hair. It does not cause a plugged look and is very easy to heal.

The surgeons transplant the hair units into the incisions in the right angle and direction; that is one’s natural hairline and growing angle of the hair.
FUE is particularly effective in males with male pattern hair loss.

The results are undetectable and permanent. The downtime is often one week, and the patient satisfaction levels are high.
